“Baramoda 3al Moda” is an exhibition dedicated to the beautiful vernacular price tags found in a huge vernacular market in the heart of Cairo, called “Al Ataba”. It is a historical place, that used to be where wealthy people spent their time in 1916. Once a beautiful place, but now it is one of the most chaotic places in Egypt and the world. This project is a conceptual design and has not been implemented in real life.

The brand manual shows the process and ideation behind every design choice, starting from overview, typography, logo design and all other elements, until all the brand applications.

As every design choice is inspired by and authentic to “Al Ataba” market, the posters and the brand manual hardcovers were printed on the material of the “Shuwal”, which is a huge plastic bag that sellers in “Al Ataba” use to carry their products.

All graphic design and photography was created by Andrew Nader,
